STRAIN

EPY300 (see reference below) harboring a variant of pRSLeu2d-BISopt. This variant (pRSLeu2d-BIS-71) has the 3' end of the cds recoded (the BIS protein sequence is the same). See second reference below for description. Specific bisabolene production is 20% higher than wt. Normally grow in SC-MHL (-His to select for genomic insertion in EPY300, -Met because ERG9 is under control of the MET3 promoter.
