PLASMID

Plasmid for expression of branched chain esterified fatty acids. Includes five genes from B. subtilus: the four genes of the bkd operon (IpdV, bkdAA,bkdAB, bkdB) and fabH2. Features a introduced strong shine delgarno sequence in front of bfabH2. Leaky expression is sufficient to convert 10-30% of cellular esterified fatty acids into branched chain fatty acids.
