Faithful reconstruction of arabinose-inducible plasmid for heterologous expression of C. necator hydrogenase heterotetramer (HoxFUYH) and maturation proteins (HoxWI and HypA2B2R2) in E. coli, as originally reported by Ghosh, Bisaillon, Hallenbeck. 2013. Increasing the metabolic capacity of Escherichia coli for hydrogen production through heterologous expression of the Ralstonia eutropha SH operon. Biotechnol. Biofuels 6: 122. Plasmid is contained within Stellar E. coli (Takara) cloning strain. Plasmid miniprep and transformation into end-user’s desired strain of bacteria will be required to achieve the described application.
